Our Sessions

We run a range of services to ensure we give variety to your child's day. From free play to musical and movement sessions, your child will enjoy time both indoors and outdoors in our secure outdoor area.

Activities

We have time for adult led activities and storytelling in addition to activities in which your child can express themselves such as colouring or drawing. We vary the daily activities to reflect the changing routines and interests of the group.

Local Trips

We frequently go on trips in the local area (with your permission) to local farms, parks and the fire station. We find that these trips give a special day out and something to look forward to on a regular basis.

EYFS

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) that covers seven areas of learning, divided into prime and specific categories:

Prime:

  • Personal, social and emotional development

  • Physical development

  • Communication and language

Specific:

  • Literacy

  • Mathematics

  • Understanding the world

  • Expressive arts and design

  •

We promote all areas of children's learning through play and a combination of adult and child initiated activities.

We offer a balance between indoor and outdoor activities and use our Forest School sessions and the local countryside to implement their learning.

We encourage the children to learn and think for themselves, responding to their individual needs and interests.
